I recently have been going on my prayer walks and have enjoyed these sermon notes on the power of focused light. The church I attend in New Direction Community Church In Vancouver Wa.

• We are the light and the light is the greater power
• When we become focused we become more powerful like when you use a magnifing glass to focus the light on a certian piece of paper
• The paper wouldn’t burn until the light was focused
• When we become focused light it inspires others
• Key verse Luke 4:18 (Jesus was focused light)
• The more we focus on Jeus the more power we have
• One analogy would be, when we become more focused in school we pay better attention, take better notes, and past the test when they are given. (Think about that spiritually)
• Jesus didn’t allow anybody to take him off his focus

• The power we have is in how focused we are
• If you check where a person spends their money, you will find out where a person’s heart is
• One example if that of a when Pastor Hopkins when to Africa on a missions trip and they wanted to charge him a fee for the Bibles he was taking over, since they told him that he was planning on selling them. Pastor told them that he was giving them away but they didn’t believe him. But another, senior customs officer came by and saw what was happing and found out Pastor was a Man of God. Once that happened not only did Pastor not have to pay any fees, but the Senior customs officer made the whole customs line wait while pastor prayed over her at the airport. Since pastor was focused on his mission trip God worked in an amesome on his behalf.
• Christians affect change when they are focused light
• If we focus on Gods business, he will take care of our business
• Most things in our lives are to keep us off focus, we need to focus on his word and his call
• We will have success when we are focused
